Hoe toekomstbestendig zijn onze Belgische woningen in het licht van de klimaatverandering? Tijdens deze officiële openingssessie presenteert KU Leuven voor het eerst de resultaten van een nieuwe, grootschalige klimaatstudie, uitgevoerd in opdracht van VEROZO. Het rapport, opgesteld door KU Leuven en Archipelago, brengt de toekomstige hittestress van residentiële gebouwen in België in kaart: hoe vaak en hoe lang woningen oververhit raken, welke typologieën het meeste risico lopen en welke bouwkundige maatregelen echt het verschil maken – van zonwering en natuurlijke koeling tot slimme gevelsturing en nachtventilatie.
Na de voorstelling van het rapport gaat een expertpanel uit wetenschap, ontwerp en beleid in debat over de volgende stap: hoe vertalen we deze inzichten naar een toekomstgericht renovatie- en bouwbeleid, welke impact heeft de hernieuwde Europese EPBD-richtlijn en hoe kunnen ontwerpers, aannemers en fabrikanten samen zorgen voor klimaatrobuuste gebouwen tegen 2050?
